Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Besides offering Psychotherapy and Counselling both online and remotely I also work as a Therapist in private practice in Sittingbourne, Kent, UK.
I have worked in the public sector since 1975, during which time I worked with members of the general public who had been involved in traumatic situations including life-threatening experiences. I have attended major incidents including terrorist incidents, road traffic accidents, train crashes and public order/disorder events.
In 2010 completed a four-year diploma qualification in Humanistic Counselling and became a member of the MBACP (Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) the main governing organisation for Counselling & Psychotherapy in the UK. Since then my portfolio includes working in educational and private settings. I have worked extensively with Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Obesity and adolescent issues.
Although my chosen model of therapy is Person-Centred Therapy, my work is informed by techniques from other models of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
